He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Simpson and Dorothy Simpson (Ash). He is survived by: his daughter Stephanie Simpson of Lakewood, OH; his sisters, Sandra Buckner (Fornie) of Crestline, OH and Linda Snead of Mt. Gilead, NC.; and his nieces and nephews, Laura Nold (Jeff) of Shelby, OH, David Buckner of Crestline, OH, Sandi Stutler (Duane) of Norwood, NC and Todd Buckner (Jennifer) of Falkville, AL.
The family welcomes contributions to the Stanly County Humane Society as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
