He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Miller and Elizabeth Shankle Miller; and his siblings, Mary Elizabeth Hatley and Larry "Mule" Miller. He is survived by: his wife Mary Boyd Blalock Miller; his son Chris Miller (Ashley) of Weddington; his grandchildren, Nettie and J. T. Miller; and his sister Virginia Miller Hathcock of Albemarle.
