He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Steele and Mary Beck Steele; and his brother Bobby Steele. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Dawson Steele; his daughters, Penny Shackleford of Winston-Salem and Tammy Clontz (Lee) of Lexington; his stepdaughters, Jessica Harris of Thomasville and Fonda Warren of Lexington; his mother-in-law Mary Poindexter of Randleman; his grandchildren, Lexie, Karlee, Grayson, Danielle and Brandi; and his great grandchildren, Hallie, Liam, Caleb and Ella Jane.
