Don Oliver Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Don Oliver of Mount Gilead, North Carolina, who passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Don Oliver to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vance Oliver and Grace Hendren Oliver of Stony Point, NC.; his siblings, Grace Oliver Stout, Neil Oliver and Mack Oliver; and his daughter-in-law Wendy Haithcock Oliver.
He is survived by: his wife Betty DeJarnette Oliver; his children, Allen Oliver (Mindy) of Kure Beach and Anne Oliver Evans (Bruce) of Mt. Gilead; his grandchildren, Austin Oliver (Ashley) of Cary, Daniel Oliver of Cary, Maribeth Evans Leonard (Robert) of Raleigh and Rebecca Evans Pittman (Michael) of Sylva; his great grandchildren, Jane Oliver, Mary Oliver, Charlie Oliver, Sam Oliver and Oliver Leonard; and his brother Rex Oliver (Wilma) of Stony Point.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (100 N Main St, Mt Gilead, NC 27306). Visitation was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
