He was predeceased by: his parents, Sankey Blake and Dell Farabee Blake; his former wife Edna Poole Blake; and his brothers, Aaron, Moses and Joe.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Swaringen Blake; his children, Steve Blake (Judy) of Mount Gilead, Lloyd Blake (Crystal) of Mount Gilead, Dwight Blake (Sandra) of Mount Gilead and Laura Grimm (Chris) of Monroe; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Clint Blake and Shelby Grimm Parsek (Stuart); his great grandchildren, Owen Blake and Abigail Deaton; his siblings, Curtis Blake of Albemarle and Miriam Phillips of Morehead City; his stepsons, Ronnie and Darrell Swarington; his stepgranddaughter Julie Montgomery; his grandson Greg Haywood (Judy); and his stepgreat-grandson Tyler Mongtomery. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid 19, attendees are requested to use social distance guidelines and wear face coverings.
