He was predeceased by: his father Leo Hurley; and his brother Charles Hurley. He is survived by: his sons, Chad (Lori) and Derrick (Jill); his grandchildren, Andrew, Kaitlin, Evan, Taylor and Emily; his great grandchild Amelia; and his siblings, Annie Ruth Jenkins (Alvin Bowles), Betty Zachary, Carolyn Parsons and Steve Hurley. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, and friends.
