Betty Matheson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Matheson (Mount Gilead, North Carolina), who passed away on July 2, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Albert and Ann Leigh Player Saunders; her husband Harold Turner Matheson Sr.; her son Harold Turner "Hal" Matheson Jr.; and her brother Bill Saunders.
She is survived by: her children, William A. "Bill" Matheson (Kacey) of Rockingham and Elizabeth Matheson-Dameron (Paul) of Tishomingo, OK.; her sisters, Lynne Cloaninger (Lane) of Apex, NC and Bobbie Monroe of Simpsonville, SC.; and her granddaughters, Sarah Smith (Spenser), Shelby, Jessie (Artemio), Lilly and Allie Matheson.
