He is survived by: his wife Annie Ruth Hurley Jenkins; his son Roger Bowles (Teresa) of Mt. Gilead; his siblings, Rayvon Bowles of Mt. Gilead, Harvey Bowles of Mt. Gilead, Clara Hudson of Albemarle and Hazeline McDonald of Candor; his grandchildren, Melanie Dunn of Mt. Gilead, Joshua Bowles of Troy and Jeremy Bowles of Mt. Gilead; his great grandchildren, Abigail Dunn, Tucker Dunn, Ariel Bowles and Mastin Bowles; and his stepchildren, Michael Jenkins of Rockingham, Sheila Thompson of Ellerbe and Jerry Jenkins of Ellerbe. He is also survived by five step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.
