He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Martin and Mary Catherine "Cassie" Gates Haynes; and his siblings, Diane Marie Haynes, Nellie Taylor, Wanda Midkiff, Tommy Haynes and Joe "Rass" Haynes.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Reece Haynes; his daughter Michelle; his son-in-law Tim Creed; his grandsons, Zane Creed (Amber Ashton) and Zachary Creed (Lauren); his great grandchild Tyree Jackson Creed; his sister Lorraine; his brother-in-law Douglas "Kornell" Hooker; his brother Glenn; and his sister-in-law Ginger Haynes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
