It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Wade Nichols of Mount Airy, North Carolina, who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Thomas Wade may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Thomas Wade touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gray Donald and Frankie Ann Moore Nichols. He is survived by: his sister Donna; his brother-in-law Ray Bryant; his nephew Lester Ray Bryant, III; and his nieces, Jenny Marsh (Brian) and Kayla Richardson (Brian). He is also survived by several great-nieces; and several great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Trinity Episcopal Church (472 N Main St, Mt Airy, NC 27030).
