She was predeceased by: her parents, Ambrose Lafayette and Nannie Lessie Deatherage Dowell; her siblings, Edith Joyce, Betty Neece, Patricia Terrell, Byron, Leo, Charles, Harry, Roscoe, Jack and A. L. Dowell, Jr.; and her sister-in-law Carole Dowell.
She is survived by: her siblings, Opal Marion, Nancy (Albert Adams), Carolyne Churchill and Jimmy Dowell; and her sister-in-law Mary Dowell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
