We are sad to announce that on September 18, 2023, at the age of 83, Sylvia Jane Mosley Hemmings of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Wallace Mosley and Opal Devota Bange Mosley; her husband Douglas Franklin Hemmings, Sr.; her son Douglas Franklin Hemmings Jr.; her grandson Christopher Allen Slate; and her siblings, Leannah Wilhite and Roger Mosley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sheila Hull (Dale) and Karen Morse (Sandy); and her grandchildren, Amber Mullins, Emily Aronson, Zach, Katie Seal and Ethan. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and one on the way; many nieces and nephews.
