We are sad to announce that on May 13, 2021, Susie Cook of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Grant and Sadie Venable Sawyers; her husband William Wallace "Bill" Cook; and her siblings, Lola Boles, Kathleen Sawyers, Celia Cook, Everett Sawyers, Howard Sawyers, Gratsie Sawyers, Romey Sawyers and Elmer "Bud" Sawyers.
She is survived by: her son Roger; her daughter-in-law Cathy Cook; her daughter Darlene Cook; her grandchildren, Brandon Cook (Kelly) and Maria Cook Jessup (Ryan); and her great grandchildren, Ashtyn Cook, Harrison Jessup and Caroline Jessup.
In lieu of food and flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030; or a charity of the donor's choice.
