She was predeceased by: her father Curtis Austin; her husband Aubra Edison Puckett; her son Roger Lee Puckett; her grandson Dale Willard; and her siblings, Linda Faye Slate Stevenson, Shelby Jean Slate Puckett, Otis Lee Slate, Jimmy Slate and Ricky Slate.
She is survived by: her daughter Shirley Mears; her son-in-law Robert; her sons, Robert Puckett, Larry Puckett and Bennie Puckett; her grandchildren, Jeremy Puckett, Christy Hackett, Corey Puckett, Amber Berryman and Michael Willard of David Mears, R. J; her siblings, Dorothy Slate Rives, Hazel Slate Pike, Sue Slate Montgomery, Lois Slate Flippin, Linda Slate Beasley and Homer Slate; and her niece Lesa Samuels. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; along with several lifelong friends.
