He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Jimmy Kernodle and Baxter Proffitt; and his uncle David Proffitt. He is survived by: his parents, Martha Gail Proffitt-Kernodle and Darren Todd Kernodle of Lavonia, GA; his brothers, Taylor Kernodle and Daniel Proffitt; his grandmother Fran Kernodle of Durham, NC; his uncle Mark Kernodle (Kristina) of Durham, NC; his nieces, Leigha Kernodle and Jessa Kernodle; and also Geneva Proffitt of Mount Airy, NC.
