She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Edgar Hodges and Grace Belle Garretson Hodges; and her siblings, Delfina Theimer, Serafin "Nanny" Salgado and Frankie Salgado.
She is survived by: her son Stephen Walter "Winchie" Sumner (Masa Yamakawa); and her siblings, Carol Simmons, Lupe Dickerson, Lolita Whitaker, Margaret (Douglas McMillian), Ila (Jay Cecil), Becky Hodges, Joe and Pepe.
