She was predeceased by: her parent Joseph Hillary. She is survived by: her parent Annice Pruitt Mears; her sister Pauline Mears Jackson of Mount Airy; her sister-in-law Louise Mears of Mount Airy; and her siblings, Lois Mears Long, Betty Mears Simmons, Louise Mears Cockerham, Mary Mears White, Tom Mears, Claude Mears and Raymond Mears. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
