He is survived by: his wife Hazel Bowman Pike; his children, Melissa Pike and Russell Pike Jr.; his grandchildren, Jessica Golding, Christina Golding, Russell Pike III and Julia Pike; his sisters, Shirley Thompson and Deborah Owens; and his brother-in-law Homer Slate. He is also survived by eleven Great-grandchildren.
