It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rufus Bean (Mount Airy, North Carolina), born in Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on May 14, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus S. Bean and Viola A. Bryant Bean. He is survived by: his wife Susan J. Fann-Bean; his daughter Leslie; his son-in-law Mark Weaver; his son Brian; his daughter-in-law April Bean; his stepsons, Chad Fann, Michael Fann and Bobby Fann; his grandchildren, Cassidy Smith, Andrew Smith, Lilly Bean, Lauren Fann, Zachary Fann, Colton Fann and Bobby Fann, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Delilah, Bobby Joe, Kiersten, Bryson, Madison and Riley.
Due to the limitations of numbers for public gatherings at this time (COVID-19), a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later time.
