He was predeceased by: his parents, James Monroe and Lissie Susan Harold Simmons; and his siblings, Betty McHone and Joe Simmons. He is survived by: his daughters, Tammy (Paul Watson) and Tracy (Rory Lewellyn, Jr.); his grandchildren, Alli Lewellyn, Cara Lewellyn and Ethan Watson; and his siblings, Ruth Chilton, Julia (Gray Peele), Brenda (Dwight Atkins), Bud (Barbara Simmons) and Tommy (Katie Simmons).
