He is survived by: his sons, Jimmy and Sam; his wife Shelby Badgett Nichols; his daughters-in-law, Tim Nichols of Winston Salem, Jimmy Nichols of Mt, Jill Nichols of Mt, Sam Nichols of Mt and Tina Nichols of Mt; his grandchildren, Matthew Simpson, Megan Simpson, Andrew Simpson, Jessy Nichols, Jake Nichols, Jarod Wilson, Morgan Wilson, Alexandra Nichols and Emma Nichols; his great grandchild Rosie Simpson; his brother-in-law Larry Badgett; his son Gary Lewis Nichols; and also, Glenn Nichols of Mt, Glenda Nichols of Mt, Ben Nichols of Mt and Hilda Nichols of Mt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
