It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Lee Riggs of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred L. Riggs and Nettie Shelton Riggs; and his siblings, Ruby Riggs Hiatt, Roy Roscoe Riggs and Roger William Riggs, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Pat Gammons Riggs; his daughter Charlotte Keiger; and his granddaughter Anna Lee Keiger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
