He was predeceased by: his parents, George Robertson of Washington and Mamie Anthony Robertson Matthews; and his siblings, Nina Robertson Scales, Richard Powell Robertson, John Robertson, Julius Robertson, Thomas Roosevelt "Robo" Robertson and Charlie Robertson.
He is survived by: his daughter Leigh Anne Robertson of Mount Airy; his close friend Barbara Beck of Hillsville, VA; his grandson Cameron Beck; and also Gayle Beck. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
