He is survived by: his daughter Virginia Abigail "Abby" Axsom (Joshua Smith); his grandchild Mackenzie Smith; his sister Lisa Axsom Donathan; his nieces, Jessica Donathan and Brandy Odum; his great-nieces, Mercedes, Gracie Lynn, Baylee, Isabella, Nevaeh, Adrian and Denna; his nephew Edward; his great-nephew Levi; his aunt Edith Barber; and his uncles, Jimmy Gammons, Gilmer Gammons and Leroy Gammons.
