She was predeceased by: her parents, John Shambley and Betty Parries Shambley; her husband Thomas Christopher Portis; her son Tony Gray Portis; and her siblings, Annabelle Gravley and John Wayne Shambley.

She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Portis Tickle; her son-in-law James; and her sister-in-law Evie Dean Shambley. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
