He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Jester Oliver; his son Eric Martin "Marty" Oliver of Pulaski, VA; his grandchildren, Hunter Anderson Oliver and Christian Ashford Oliver of Greenville, SC; his brother-in-law Lennie Rosenbluth of Chapel Hill; his niece Beth (Tucker Webster) of Miami, FL; and his nephew Stephen (Amy Rosenbluth) of Naples, FL..
