He was predeceased by: his father Dan Cockerham; his wife Nannie Matthews Cockerham; and his children, Brenda Cockerham, Linda Browder and Bruce Cockerham.
He is survived by: his son-in-law Gray Browder; his grandchildren, Heather Golding (Charles) and Matthew Cockerham; his great grandchildren, Courtney Ore (Brian) and Devin Gammons; and his great great grandchildren, Oaklynn and Lucas.
