It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Opal Lane (McMillian) Collins of Mount Airy, North Carolina, who passed away on July 16, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Cassell and Rhoda Gwynn McMillian; her husband Elbert Eugene "Gene" Collins; and her brothers, James John McMillian and Haskell McMillian.

She is survived by: her children, Jeannie (Frank Montgomery), Patty (Charles Montgomery), Randy (Dianne Collins), Danny (Misty Collins) and David (Crystal Collins); her grandson Christopher Smith; and her brother Chester McMillian. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
