With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nelda Goad of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Stokes, North Carolina, who passed away on September 27, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Isom Owens and Lillian Cook Owens; her husband Charles Goad Jr.; her grandson Chad Slater; and her siblings, Chassie O. Pell and Homer Owens.
She is survived by: her daughter Charnell; her son-in-law Marvin Slater; her son Charles; her daughter-in-law Debbie Goad; her grandchildren, Shelly Slater, Sharon Slater, Kevin Goad (Kim) and Keith Goad (Lisa); her great grandchildren, Jarrett, Emma, Hannah, Emily, Molly, Katlyn, Charlotte, Lillian, Ivy and Edith; her sister Rebecca O. Snow; and her sister-in-law Mary Owens. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
