It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Naomi Irene Hornaday Jessup of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on April 17, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hornaday and Pearl Johnson Hornaday; her son Ronnie Gray Jessup; and her siblings, Alma Hornaday Vaughn, Lena Hornaday Riggs, Junior Hornaday, Archie Hornaday, Charles "Charlie" Hornaday and Paul Hornaday.

She is survived by: her son James Jessup; her daughter-in-law Mildred; her siblings, Ruth Hornaday Gentry, Bonnie Hornaday France and Skip Hornaday; and her sisters-in-law, Myrtle, Lorine B. Hornaday and Reba M Hornaday. She is also survived by five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren.
