Mitchell Edward Stanley Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mitchell Edward Stanley (Mount Airy, North Carolina), who passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife June; his son Mitchell "Mickey" Stanley; his parents, Ralph Stanley and Winfred Stanley; and his brother Pete Stanley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberley Stanley (Susan) and Kristy Johnson (Chris); his grandchildren, Alex and Kate; his daughter Kelli Doby (Abraham); his grandchildren, Ethan (Ashley), Jessica and Alea; and his siblings, Daniel Stanley (Linda), David Stanley and Sandra Atkins. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Serre Vineyard (364 Beast Trail, Mt Airy, NC 27030).
The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Mitchell's name to the John Woltz Hospice Home, whose compassionate care brought peace to Mitchell in his final days.
