Mildred Jarrell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Jarrell (Mount Airy, North Carolina), born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on April 12, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Rufus and Cena Sutphin Jarrell. She is survived by: her siblings, Margaret Ann Jarrell Smith of Mount Airy and Norris Gray Jarrell of Mount Airy; her sister-in-law Rachael Snow Jarrell of Mount Airy; and her nieces and nephews, Lee Ann Smith Belcher (David), Madilyn Kay Jarrell Rogers (Jimmy), Fred Lee Smith (Lori Hicks) and William Kester Jarrell (Katarina). She is also survived by five great nieces and nephews; and five great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Miss Jarrell was preceded in death by a brother, Kester Thomas Jarrell; a sister-in-law, Faye Davenport Jarrell; and a nephew, Norris Gray Jarrell, Jr. Due to limitations for public gatherings at this time (COVID-19), a private graveside service will be held at Skyline Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, 314 South Franklin Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
