It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Charles Nester of Mount Airy, North Carolina, who passed away on July 20, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Rudolph Nester and Gracie Marie Wilson Nester; and his brother Clarence "Junior" Rudolph Nester, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Ellen Arnder Nester; his sons, Brad Childress and Scotty Nester; his grandchildren, Austin Childress, Jacob Childress and Tisha Gentry; his great grandchildren, Sora Bowman and Asta Bowman; his pet Mia; his siblings, Linda Cockerham, Susie (Tommy Burkhart), Ronald (Lynn Nester) and Billy (Tammy Nester); and his sister-in-law Pam Snow. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
