It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Sidden (Mount Airy, North Carolina), born in Dobson, North Carolina, who passed away on November 19, 2018, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Fred Sidden; and her brothers, James, Donald and Dan Miller. She is survived by: her children, Janice Deal, Calvin Deal of High Point, Tereia Shirley, Scott Shirley of Winston-Salem, John Sidden, Cathy Sidden of State Road, Robert Sidden, Gay Lynn Sidden of Southport, Philip Sidden and Teresa Sidden of Sanford. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; a sister, ReElla Ball of State Road; sister-in-law Emeline Miller of Elkin; many nieces and nephews.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Dobson United Methodist Church PO Box 497, Dobson, NC 27017, or to the Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030, or to the Foothills Food Pantry PO Box 1065, Dobson, NC 27017.
