Mary Lou Venable Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 1, 2020, at the age of 90, Mary Lou Venable of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Roosevelt Hooker and Grace Simmons Hooker; her husband Walter Keith Venable; her daughter Linda Sue Venable Mills (Terry); and her siblings, Annie Ruth Hooker Doby and James Thomas "Tommy" Hooker.
She is survived by: her son Monty; her daughter-in-law Mary Venable; her grandchildren, Keith Venable, Kevin, Carrie Venable and Sarah Mills Shockley (David); her great grandchildren, Rylan Venable, Kylie Venable, Sidney Kate Venable and Embree Claire Venable; her sisters, Nancy Marshall and Billie (Russell Parsons); and her sister-in-law Brenda Hooker.
Respecting the current limitations of numbers for public gatherings at this time (COVID-19), a graveside service will be held in the Hutchens-Venable Family Cemetery on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Dr. David Brady officiating.
