We are sad to announce that on December 23, 2020, at the age of 82, Mary Leftwich of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Shelton and Lucy Hiatt Shelton; and her brothers, Bobby Dean Shelton and Aaron Lee Shelton. She is survived by: her children, Tammy Leftwich, Joy Tolbert (Reed) and Walter Leftwich, III; her grandchildren, Cassie Leftwich, Cody Leftwich and Chris Tolbert; her great grandchild Jagger Leftwich; her sister Carol Faye Shelton Smith; and her brother-in-law Joseph. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
