She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Stephen and Eva Laura Isenhour Martin; her husband Charles Ray Shumate; her sons, James Reginald Shumate and Jeffrey Scott Shumate; and her siblings, Ollie Mae Miller, Grace Robbins, Louise Elizabeth Hawkins, Edith Laura Hefner, Almedia Pearl Lail, Sherman William Martin, Ernest Clyde Martin, James Edward Martin, McKinley Ray Martin, Flake Martin, Gary Clayton Martin, Arville Martin and Floyd Martin.
She is survived by: her grandson Reggie Lee "Little Reggie" Shumate of Bowling Green, KY; and her great grandchild Kaden Shumate of Bowling Green, KY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
