It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marilyn Wood Driggers of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on October 5, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gilmer and Ona Naomi O'Dell Wood; her husband Charles David Driggers; and her siblings, Charlotte (Troy Newman), Jonnie Mae Chipman and James Gilmer "Bud" Wood, Jr..

She is survived by: her son Chris Driggers; her grandchildren, Marc Driggers, Kimberly, Naomi Driggers, Carson Driggers, Steven Warnshuis and Hannah; her great grandchildren, Chloe Driggers, Roselyn Driggers, Silas Warnshuis and Shelby Warnshuis; and her niece Marguerite Burcham (Steve). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 1909 N. Main St., Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
