She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Blackburn and Hettie Blackburn; her brother Donald Blackburn; her husband Jay B. Ledford; and her children, Danny Ledford (Toni), David Ledford, Donna Ledford Smith (Mike) and Dwight.
She is survived by: her siblings, Ruby Blackburn Lambert, Eugene Blackburn, Ed Blackburn and Dr. Gil Blackburn; her grandsons, Alex Ledford (Brooke) and Zachary Smith (Brittany); and her great grandchildren, TJ Bobbitt, Boone Bobbitt, Wyatt Ledford, Hattie Rose Ledford, Walker Smith and Barrett Smith.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marilyn's memory to Central United Methodist Church, 1909 N. Main Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
