We are sad to announce that on June 5, 2022, at the age of 78, Marie Johnson Willis (Mount Airy, North Carolina), born in Pulaski, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Melvin Julius; her husbands, Welford Whitaker, Clifton "Burnard" Willis and Larry Parker; her daughter Lisa Dawn Whitaker; and her sisters, Betty Johnson of Virginia and Margaret Jean Johnson Simmons.
She is survived by: her daughter Abby; her son-in-law Tony Stanley; her son Christopher; her daughter-in-law Lisa Whitaker; her grandchildren, Courtney Martin (T. J.), Christopher Whitaker, II (Samara) and Sydni Whitaker (George); and her great grandchildren, Garrett, Amelia and Emrick.
In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Willis requested that memorial contributions be made to ASPCA.org for her love of animals.
