She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Wilson and Nannie Ruth Conner Whitlow; her daughter Detra Michelle Ramey; and her brother Arnold Whitlow. She is survived by: her children, Susan McHone (Junior), Brenda Vance (John), Shelby Ramey, Elizabeth Easter (Kevin), Donna Easter (Corey), Jimmie Ramey (Pat) and Phillip Ramey (Ginger); her niece Sharon Peniza; and her caregiver Kathy Whitener. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren.
