She was predeceased by: her husband Jakob "Jack" Goettel; and her son William T. "Bill" Goettel. She is survived by: her son Fred; her daughter-in-law Trina Goettel of Mount Airy; her grandchildren, Dusty Goettel (Kristina Bourassa) of Wilmington and Petra Goettel of Atlanta, GA; her sister Anny Haack Fritz of Germany; her niece Karin Fritz Faust (Roland) of Germany; and her nephew Werner Wagner of Germany.
