We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2018, at the age of 96, Margaret Slate (Mount Airy, North Carolina) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Margaret Slate to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parent Alvis Sechrist; her husband Ralph Lewis Slate; her son James Leon Slate; her sister Thelma Sechrist; and her sisters-in-law, Sanford Sechrist, Pauline Sechrist, Haywood Sechrist, Emma Gray Sechrist and Elmer Sechrist.

She is survived by: her parent Maggie Greenwood Sechrist; her daughter Jewel Bondurant of Mount Airy; her children-in-law, Horace Bondurant of Mount Airy and Connie Boyles Slate of Mount Airy; her grandchildren, Chip Bondurant of Mount Airy, Elizabeth Spires, Wil Spires of Winston-Salem, Julie Radford and Bradley Radford of Ooltewah, TN; her sister-in-law Cecil Sechrist of Kernersville; and also Barbara Sechrist of Kernersville. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother.
