He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Emanuel and Savada Emaline Ayers; his wife Helen Adele Ayers; and his siblings, Amy Zettie Ayers Guynn, Ollie Ayers, Lucy Mae Ayers, Julia June Ayers Guynn, Victor Ernest Ayers and Rufus Junior Ayers.
He is survived by: his daughter Marla Ayers; and his sister-in-law JoAnn Marshall. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
