We are sad to announce that on December 30, 2023, at the age of 73, Lloyd Moses Baker Jr. of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Buchanan, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Moses Baker, Sr. and Violet Mae Fields Baker; his son Dennis Bucky Lawson; his grandson Eric Brandon Lawson; his great grandchild Baby Emma Mae Arrington; and his siblings, Connie Baker Johnson and Gary Edgar Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Stacy Baker; his children, Jennifer Baker, Denise Lawson, Teresa (Robert Banks), Ginny Dollyhigh and Lloyd Baker, III; his siblings, Frances Gobble and Doug; his sister-in-law Lisa Baker; and his close friend Curtis Bryant. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
