With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry Sumner of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on October 23, 2024 at the age of 68. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Larry Sumner to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sumner and Dora Anderson Sumner; his wife Mary Belinda Hicks Sumner; and his brother-in-law David Hicks. He is survived by: his significant other Judy Willard; his daughter Jennifer Laws; his son-in-law Kris; his granddaughter Covia Laws; his stepgranddaughter Amber Tate; his stepgreat-granddaughters, Willow Holmes and Serenity Holmes; his brother Danny Sumner; his sisters-in-law, April and Samantha Hicks; and his close friends, Roger Hill, Patches and Little Bit.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Venture Baptist Church (228 NE Pine St, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
