He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Payne and Laura Pack Sechrist; his stepdaughter Dawn Thompson; and his siblings, Mary Sechrist, Barbara Niten and Robert "Bud" Sechrist.
He is survived by: his close friend Pat Atkins; his stepchildren, Denise Pack, Mark Thompson and David Thompson; his stepgrandchildren, Chris Owens, Anthony Owens, DeAnna Owens, Adrian Owens, Tyler Thompson, Seth Thompson, Aaron Thompson and Brianna Thompson; his sisters, Laura "Sissy" Noah and Emma Bowman; and his caregiver Vicki Tate. He is also survived by five step great grandchildren.
