With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kathleen Galloway Smith of Mount Airy, North Carolina, born in Randolph, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 27, 2024 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nolan Galloway and Ione Moore Galloway; her granddaughter Jessica Callaghan; and her brother Nolan Galloway. She is survived by: her husband Norman Lee Smith; her children, Toni Voorhies (Rodger), Donna Callaghan (John), Michael Smith and Keith Smith (Diane); her grandchildren, Eve Smith, Zane Smith, Jackson Hammond, Caroline Hammond, Kyle Hammond, Willa Voorhies, Emily Voorhies, Anna Jones and Jessica Smith; and her brother Marvin Galloway. She is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews.
