We are sad to announce that on March 7, 2020, at the age of 72, Joyce Simmons (Mount Airy, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Randy; her parents, James "Buster" Owens and Argol Harper Owens; her daughter Jennifer Leftwich Brookshire; her stepchildren, Heather Simmons Jones (Andy) and Yancy Simmons (Jessica); her grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Lauren Smith Marion, Cameron Jones, Abby Simmons, Cassidy Simmons, Sawyer Simmons and Braydon Jones; her great grandchild Nichola Lafatce Joyce; her siblings, Alice Owens Thomas, Dennis Owens (Deceased), Lee Owens (Deceased) and Laura Owens Triplette; and her nieces and nephews, Angie Umstead, Lori Boles, Kristen Pruett, Denise Scott, Andy Hill (Deceased), David Owens-Hill and Abby Triplette Joyce.
