It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Franklin Hawks (Mount Airy, North Carolina), who passed away on February 16, 2022, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father William Franklin Hawks, Sr.; his brother Homer Hawks; and his grandparents, Bryant, Earnestine Boyd and Etta Hawks.

He is survived by: his mother Marie Boyd Hawks; his children, Joseph Earl Hawks and Avery Hawks; his brothers, Michael Hawks, Willie Hawks and Friel Monroe Hawks; his aunt Linda; and his uncle Bill Boyd.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
